QUOKKA project 1: Functionally Decode Immune Recovery
Project Summary
Project 1 will characterise immune reconstitution at single-cell resolution in a prospective cohort of 20 patients who receive post transplant cyclophosphamide as part of their allogeneic bone marrow transplant for acute myeloid leukaemia at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Four serial samples will be collected from each patient and analysed at the Medical Genomics Facility at Murdoch University. We aim to identify the specific T-cell and NK cell states associated with clinical outcomes: relapse, infection, graft-versus-host-disease and uneventful recovery.
Project Benefits
This project will benefit the wider haematology, transplant and immunology community and improve the management of bone marrow transplant recipients.
